Shuffling hoofs…

Muffled snorts…

Gentle chewing…

This quiet place surrounds me.

Anticipation rises,

As I approach my mirror reflection…

A chestnut gelding…

With liquid eyes,

And a velvet muzzle.

From his heart,

Comes a greeting…

So deep in it’s meaning,

That if I allow myself just a moment,

My heart is filled with overwhelming joy.

For the Influence of an Equine

Is rooted deep…

Deep within all humanity…

Breathe in its sweet smell,

Open your awareness…

To all it has to whisper...
