Equine Influence

Connect with your authentic self through the influence of the horse.
Lori Cohen, Workshop Facilitator

Lori has loved horses from as early as she can remember.  Their spirit, grace and tremendous presence have always captivated her spirit. She has owned many horses for over 15 years.  After teaching in the inner city, suburbs and park districts for 30 years, she found her way to Epona and The Way of The Horse.

Inspired by her experience with Linda Kohanov and the horses, she became a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) now known as PATH Intl (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) Certified Instructor.  In May Of 2011, Lori became an Advanced Certified Instructor.  Lori has been teaching therapeutic riding for 8 years. She specializes in working with troubled teenagers and children with emotional and behavioral issues using the horses to develop tremendous self-esteem, patience and kindness.
It is an honor and a privilege for her to be able to bring the wisdom of the horse to people who want to live a more grounded and truthful existence.  Lori is happy to help others achieve this goal using the influence of horses.

She is married to a wonderful, supportive husband and they own and care for horses, dogs, cats, a parrot and various turtles,  and fish.  Her riding discipline of choice is dressage which she pursues with passion.
